There’s an App for That: 5 Apps to Up Your Digital Marketing Game

Curious how to get more out of digital marketing? The key to maximizing any marketing tool is proper utilization of it. Which is why having apps to use alongside your amazing website or blog are a huge advantage.

With all the apps on the market today, it’s hard to find which ones will actually help you. But there are a few in particular which we use to stay on top of things. We’ve put together a list of our top recommended apps.

Not only do these apps help you connect, engage, and grow, but also the tech can track your goals and ROI from your digital platforms. Let’s get started!

1. Canva

There’s a reason Canva takes the number one spot on our list. This web-based graphic design tool makes it easy to create professional-looking designs for blogs and social media posts (there is also a paid version which allows you to access their unlimited library of graphics). You can use your own images or choose from one of the many stock image libraries available on Canva.

It has tons of templates built in and allows you to create images in minutes. You can easily create all kinds of material for all your digital marketing needs.

Bonus points: you don’t need to be a professional graphic designer to create stunning images. The easy design tools are simple to use and the quality is outstanding.

2. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free website analytics tool that provides you with all kinds of information about the visitors coming to your website, including what pages they visit, where they come from (geographic location) and how long they stay on each page. You can access this information by logging into your Google Analytics account and clicking on “Audience” at the top of the screen.

This shows you some basic information about visitors including where they came from and what devices they used to view your site (mobile versus desktop). It also shows you more advanced stats such as bounce rate, pages per visit and average time spent on site.

3. Social Oomph

Social media can be extremely powerful when used properly, but it’s also very easy to make mistakes that could ruin your brand’s reputation online. Social Oomph allows you to manage all of your social accounts from one place — whether that’s Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram — so that you can make sure everything looks consistent and professional across all platforms. It also makes scheduling posts a breeze and lets you track which ones perform best for future reference.

With this app, users can create a blog post in seconds and schedule it to post at later times. The app also lets you add images and links to your content, which makes it easier for people to find what they’re searching for on Google.

4. Slack

In order to have a successful digital marketing campaign, you need to have successful team communication. Our favorite app for group messaging and collaboration is Slack.

This simple app is so helpful at organizing workflow, sharing files, and discussing projects. It also integrates seamlessly with Dropbox and Google Drive, making it simple to reference documents.

5. Traackr

Traackr is a tool for tracking mentions of your brand across the web so you know where your competitors are getting mentioned, what they’re saying about your brand and how much exposure they’re getting from their efforts.

It also provides insights based on keyword searches, allowing you to see what keywords are best suited for use in paid search ads (PPC) campaigns or organic search optimization (SEO).

Whether you’re a hyper-competitive startup or an established brand with millions in revenue, every company has a digital marketing strategy—and for good reason. Digital marketing allows businesses to reach clients on their own terms, build trust, and establish credibility with the help of channels like social media and email.

It also provides a glimpse into customer life, which can be just as valuable as hard sales figures. So try out these apps and let us know what works for you!
